Carrefour Brazil showcases regional and local products in its stores
The campaign, launched in February in 64 hypermarkets across the country, is designed to showcase regional products in stores. It will soon be extended to all of Brazil's hypermarkets and supermarkets.
Each product is on special display so it can be more easily identified. Customers can also browse leaflets which give details of all the products available, as well as each product's history and its producer. They'll find fresh products, such as meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, as well as products made using traditional recipes.
Guaranteeing product freshness and quality, boosting the local economy and reducing the environmental impact by keeping the distance travelled to a minimum are all part of an initiative that benefits Carrefour, its customers and its suppliers.
