Most of the planet's fish stocks have already been tapped into, and little is known about their ability to regenerate. Some damage may be irreversible.  It is vital that we protect our oceans and fish.

  • The first policy to put a stop to deep-sea fishing was introduced in 2007. This policy is regularly expanded to include new species.

  • Carrefour has fish on display in its stores and promotes responsible fishing by doubling the numbers of species it stocks that are protected by the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) programme – an international programme which has its own label and certification.

  • Information is available at the fish counters in stores for customers who appreciate fresh fish.
