A way of getting people to fall in love again with beavering away in the kitchen with healthy products.
Often, the success of a business can all be down to one meeting. As France's leading meal box company, Quitoque was born in 2015 thanks to an unexpected investor. “Cookin’ the world, our first meal box app, was slow to take off", says Etienne Boix, Quitoque's co-founder and CEO. There were three of us doing everything from design to delivery… and we didn't get much sleep. One day, I was delivering a box to one of our customers who had been with us from the start, and she asked us how the company was doing. I told her about the problems we were having and there and then, she offered to invest €20,000 directly in the company to help us get going!". That's how Etienne and his two partners, Céline Nguyen and Grégoire Roty, were able to develop their concept and transform it into meal boxes for a whole week that were easier to prepare, by using recipes drawn from French and foreign culinary heritage. Four years and two rounds of fund-raising later, the Paris-based start-up has 85 employees and delivers some 500,000 meals to tens of thousands of families every month.
