In each store, priority checkouts for vulnerable people and medical personnel have been earmarked.
And starting on Monday 2 November, Market stores will be trialling a system whereby customers can place their orders via WhatsApp (+33 (0)6 72 58 58 41). This way, vulnerable people will be able to order from five categories of basket using their phones: Food (34 items), Gourmet (8 items), Hygiene (11 items), Cat (3 items), Dog (3 items). Once they have confirmed their order, it is prepared in store, and then they can either pick it up themselves or have it delivered to their door.
And starting next week, around ten Market stores will be offering a personal shopper service for the over-60s and vulnerable people. They will be able to order from a short list of convenience items via a store-specific WhatsApp number.
Carrefour has reintroduced a freephone number for the over-60s: they can order their shopping over the telephone (+33 (0)805 905 905) and have it delivered straight to their door.
Carrefour has reintroduced a free, priority service for medical personnel: they can get their shopping delivered within an hour until 10 PM in nine cities across France, as well as in the Paris region (in partnership with the AP-HP).
