Since the start of the crisis, Carrefour teams across the board have been going to every effort to keep serving customers in France, stepping up the numbers of services available to them. These include the www.essentiels.carrefour.fr website in the Ile-de-France region, a special freephone number for elderly customers, people with reduced mobility and medical personnel, a partnership with Uber Eats and many others.

But together with safety and product availability, many people in France are also concerned about their purchasing power: 52% say that they are worried about their finances*.

Alongside the various commitments it has made to agricultural sectors in France, Carrefour is also taking action to maximise its customers’ budgets, making even more price pledges.

● All year round, Carrefour guarantees the lowest prices on the market for around 500 major-brand everyday products. These prices are unbeatable. Carrefour wants to reassure its customers that there will be no price increases on these 500 products – they may go down, but they are guaranteed to remain unbeatable** and not to go up, at least until the end of the lockdown period.

● Carrefour also has an all-year-round loyalty programme covering more than 4200 Carrefour-branded products – they are 10% cheaper for members of the scheme (and up to 15% cheaper for PASS members). These benefits will remain in place throughout the crisis.

On top of these price commitments, Carrefour still has easy payment options available directly at the checkout for its PASS(1)  members on all hypermarket and supermarket purchases:
● Interest-free payment in three instalments at no extra cost(2)
● Buy now, pay in three months at no extra cost(2)

** This commitment is in relation to competitor stores (excluding wholesalers, discount stores, remote sales and special offers) located within 15 km of our Carrefour hypermarkets and Carrefour Market supermarkets (and within 1 km for stores in Paris, Lyon and Marseille).

*** Unbeatable prices, frozen at those in force on 6 April in Carrefour hypermarkets and Carrefour Market supermarkets in France (excluding special offer prices). Subject to changes in regulations or a price increase on these products (taxes, increase in prices of raw materials, etc.).
